Existing Conditions
The homeowner had the second-story deck framed while the house was being built. They reached out to us to complete the installation of the Trex RainEscape system, composite decking, and railing.
The deck measured 34' × 14'.
Our Assessment
The existing framing had not been constructed to accommodate the composite picture-frame design the homeowner wanted. The framing required amendments before the decking could be installed properly.
The Solution
We amended the existing framing to accommodate the composite picture-frame design. We then installed the Trex RainEscape system, TimberTech Reserve Antique Leather composite decking, and Clay Finyl Line vinyl railing.
Project Outcome
The second-story deck was completed with the requested composite decking, picture-frame design, RainEscape system, and vinyl railing.
