When One Leak Becomes Four
A winter away turned into a homeowner's worst nightmare. Our customer found us through our website chatbot — and when he needed help fast, we were ready.

Water Waits for No One.
The Existing Condition:
The homeowner was away in Florida for the winter with the water shut off, but the pipes were never drained. When the furnace failed, temperatures dropped, and the pipes froze and burst in four separate locations throughout the home.
10 Point Construction teamed up with professional plumbers to tackle the full scope of the damage.
Why it was a problem:
-
Pipes burst in multiple locations, making the full scope of damage unknown until work began
-
Tongue and groove knotty pine walls and trim had to be removed to access the damage - adding complexity to what appeared to be a straightforward repair
-
Water had migrated into the ceiling, saturating insulation and drywall across a wide area
-
Each repair revealed another problem, turning a single fix into a multi-stage discovery process

The Solution:
-
Carefully removed tongue and groove knotty pine and trim to access and repair the first known pipe break
-
Turned the water on and found a leak in the kitchen ceiling and another in an upstairs bathroom
-
Cut into the kitchen ceiling to repair the second break, uncovered a third leak 8 feet away
-
Replaced two sheets of drywall on the ceiling and removed all wet insulation
-
Finished the drywall, reinstalled the tongue and groove knotty pine and trim, textured, and painted - leaving the space clean and fully restored.
We don't offering painting as a service - but everything we build, we finish.
